Coming to counselling offers you a confidential and supportive space where you can explore any aspect of your life. You may have a specific issue you would like to resolve, or you may be experiencing a more general sense of emptiness, sadness, or confusion.
As your counsellor, I aim to create a trusting relationship where you feel safe and free to explore your thoughts, feelings, and personal experiences. Together, we can work at a pace that feels right for you.
Counselling is a journey that can help you develop a deeper awareness of yourself, the world around you, and the choices available to you. While relationships are often where we experience the most hurt, they can also become powerful vehicles for healing—supporting a more enriched way of life and a renewed sense of freedom.
EMDR 50-90 mins
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
EMDR is a therapy that helps you process and recover from difficult or traumatic past experiences that may be impacting your wellbeing or mental health. It supports the mind’s natural healing processes, enabling individuals to move forward and live a more fulfilling life.
EMDR is an evidence-based approach recommended by NICE as a first-line treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in adults. It is effective in treating trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), as well as a range of other difficulties including anxiety, depression, phobias, and other emotional distress.

What next?
Schedule a session
During the first session I will need to take some general information about you and we will need to discuss your reasons for coming to counselling, whether you have had any previous experience of counselling, what support networks you have in place and what you hope to achieve from our work together. It is important that you feel I am the right counsellor for you and that you feel comfortable with me in my therapy room.
Sessions last between 50 minutes - 90 minutes and generally take place on a weekly basis either face to face or online. You decide what you want to bring to the sessions. Price will be agreed together, but will be approximately £60 per session. EMDR sessions may be charged at a higher rate.
Making the decision to come to counselling can provoke feelings of anxiety and it may take time for you to feel able to trust me. As with any relationship, it takes time to build.
